Who doesn’t love free stuff?
Are you having trouble building a list? You send thousands of people to your capture page with traffic exchanges and other methods, the hits are their, but the subscribers are not.
Let’s face it, e-mail marketing is old so people know they will be sold to after joining your list. What they get from you has to outweigh the thought of someone being sold to, and as you may know, people hate being sold to.
What should you do? Offer people an e-book that will be sent with their first message in the series, this way they not only optin, but they confirm their subscription, now you can actually mail to them.
I personally prefer to write my own short reports on popular topics. Right now web 2.0 is huge, write a book on how to succeed at it and you can rake in thousands of subscribers with the right traffic. Of course these are subscribers who may not be interested in joining your opportunity, but they love web 2.0 so become an affiliate of a new product and rake in commission.
